Three Ryotei Association Office Improvement Grant Project Implementation period:1992 to 1993
Making Geigi's Base More Accessible
Kanazawa's three chaya districts, where traditional latticework buildings stand side by side, continue to pass down their vibrant chaya culture.
Each district has a "Kenban," a building used by the Geigi association, which serves as a waiting area before the Geigi head to the ozashiki, as well as a venue for practicing dance and music.
A portion of the restoration work for these aging buildings was funded to help preserve and maintain this important cultural hub.
